  • HUTCH is an international design studio with grassroots design principles. We create whole, harmonious homes by integrating architecture, interiors, curation, construction oversight, and styling into one bespoke design journey.

We offer a new model of immersive, made-to-measure architecture, so the number of projects we take on is limited. By offering what are traditionally separate roles as a unified service, we deliver a simpler, more efficient design process for your home.

Book a consultation to discuss how we can include your home in our next design intake.

No.8, the home we designed for a young couple and their children, has been published in The New York Times.

“Besides knocking down walls, Mr. Hutchinson cut through the floor above to create a soaring, 23-foot ceiling over a low-slung limestone fireplace. Along with a pair of French doors that open to the generous front yard, the cutout helps funnel light from the second-floor windows down into the living room.”

The Makers Barn, features on the front cover of Gestalten’s new book Cottagecore: New Countryside Living.
We’re honoured to have our work represent this contemporary take on rural living.

Gestalten has long been recognised as one of the leading international publishers in design, architecture, and visual culture — known for beautifully crafted books, thoughtful curation, and a strong eye for emerging sensibilities.

We spoke with Architectural Digest about our recently completed project ‘The Makers Barn’.

‘Rather than dividing the plan into compartmentalised rooms or treating it as a single open space – which, counter-intuitively, would make it appear smaller – the architect designs a space that wraps around a central chimney in poured concrete.’

No.8 – our recently completed home has been published in VOGUE.

‘Despite Victorian architecture and strict preservation laws giving architect and interior designer Craig Hutchinson of London-based studio HUTCH design a strict framework to work with, not to mention a brief that required the dual challenges of preservation and modernisation, his holistic design and architectural approach rose to the challenge.’
